A Botanical Medicine Field Experience
Port Stanley, Ontario
“Naturopathic medicine meets restorative permaculture and deep-nature-connection principles applied to the production of quality botanical medicines.”
*available exclusively to students of naturopathy and/or herbal medicine
Step out of the classroom and into the forest, swap your pen for a shovel, shut down your web browser and open your forager’s heart . This weekend course is designed to compliment and enhance your BOT MED experience at CCNM with empirical, experiential, practical learning.
Exchange your labour for the opportunity to learn about growing herbs, permaculture principles as they relate to naturopathic principles; all while developing your intuitive and clinical plant-medicine skills.
Richard Vuksinic, ND of Enriched Roots Herb Farm and Chris Pickrell, ND are pleased to present a weekend workshop aimed at growing herbs for professional use, while providing students with hands-on field experience in the realm of botanical medicine.
Permaculture is a model of regeneration and sustainability that works with the laws of nature to maximize the diversity and health of food/medicine production systems. Permaculture is THE application of the ‘VIS’ to agricultural systems. It is naturopathy in the hands of the farmer. This weekend workshop will touch on the relationship between naturopathy and permaculture principles.
Deep-nature-connection is aimed at facilitating practices of connecting with nature. This means expanding one’s sense of connection to the earth, to the laws of nature and to the artful application of intuition in the practice of naturopathic medicine.
